SunLink(TM) FDDI/S is a network interface card that allows SBus-basedsystems to be connected to FDDI LANs. FDDI delivers high speed, highcapacity, and better performance compared to Ethernet and Token ringLANs.The SunLink FDDI/S is a single attach card that requires the use of anFDDI concentrator to connect to a dual attach network. With the use ofthe SunLink FDDI/S card, any SPARC-based system can act as a routerbetween FDDI and other LAN types with the routing capabilities ofSunOS(TM).
